中國廣西潿洲島旅遊度假區管理委員會，以及北海潿洲島旅遊發展有限公司，日前遭受強颱威馬遜正面吹襲後救災不力，遭到民眾抨擊。網路有傳民眾闖入委員會辦公室後，竟發現有人電腦上正播放色情電影，令民眾怨氣一發不可收拾。

中國青年網報導，颱風肆虐後，除了紅十字會捐贈的每戶6瓶礦泉水，一直沒有救災物資發放。潿洲島景區管委會更宣佈禁止水泥、木材、瓦片等建材通過船運上島。打砸事件後，潿洲島旅游區管委會，潿洲島決定撤銷「禁止私運建材」公告，針對島民「缺電缺水缺建材」問題，當地政府表示正處理救災部署。職員電腦出現色情電影畫面一事，公安機關正在調查。（大陸中心╱綜合外電報導）
