聯合國秘書長潘基文今天下午抵達以色列，他與以色列總理尼坦雅胡（Benjamin Netanyahu）共同召開記者會，呼籲哈瑪斯停止發射火箭，雙方盡速達成停火協議。

潘基文表示，聯合國的立場很清楚，指責加薩武裝分子向以色列發射火箭的行為，要求他們立刻停止，也指責這些人使用學校醫院等平民設施作為軍事用途。

他提到6月中3名被綁架殺害的猶太青少年的姓名，和其中一人的母親法倫克爾（Rachel Frenkel）對遭到報復燒死的16歲阿拉伯青少年阿布柯德（Muhammed AbuKhdeir）家屬所說的話：「沒有父母該經歷我們所經歷的，我們與阿布柯德的父母同感悲痛。」

潘基文呼籲以色列人和巴勒斯坦人，「停止交火，開始對話」，同時處理引發衝突的根源性問題，免得半年一年後舊事重演。他指出這些問題包括相互承認、佔領等。

他認為是這些問題導致人們覺得必須採用暴力作為表達怨氣的手段。他呼籲以色列展現最大程度的節制，因為此刻急需的是「復原和建設」。(中央社)
