先前我們預告過的 HTC 將於 IFA 2014 期間，在德國柏林舉辦早餐會報，當中除了展示 HTC Butterfly 2、微軟版 HTC One(M8)之外，還將發表旗下首款 64 bit 八核心手機，外界猜測可能會是 HTC Desire 820。而就在稍早，HTC 在中國官方微博上貼出一張圖片，指出全球首款 64 位元手機，將於 9 月 4 日亮相，圖片當中曝光的手機前鏡頭與塑膠邊框，不過似乎並沒有 HTC BoomSound 設計，然而至少已經可以確認 HTC 將發表的新機將會是 HTC Desire 系列機種。
