今天是土地公生日，田寮區大南天福德祠大龜王乞龜活動上午熱鬧登場，今年大龜王重達2萬6912台斤，比去年「長大」了100台斤，吸引了數千名信眾到場擲筊求龜王，市長陳菊也來上香祈福，不過，民眾最有興趣的還是求發財金的活動，預估今年的香火錢將超過百萬，也將動員警方護鈔。
 
大南天福德祠是田寮區的信仰中心之一，每年農曆2月初2土地公生日都會舉辦乞龜活動，其中，重達2萬多斤的大龜王每年都吸引大批信眾擲筊祈求，今年也不例外，廟方指出，今年大龜王裡有白米、白糖、餅乾和小金龜，價逾上百萬元，體重則有2萬6912台斤，比去年重100台斤，是南台灣最大的龜王。
 
除了大龜王擲筊活動，民眾最有興趣的還是求發財金活動，從台南來的婦人洪彩鳳說，「現金卡實在啦！」希望借點發財金回去，能賺更多錢。（陳宏瑞／高雄報導）
