【陳方瑩／南投報導】由日月潭國家風景區管理處與中華民國運動休閒推廣協會共同舉辦，2014年日月潭第一場路跑盛事「櫻舞飛揚環湖路跑賽」，今天清晨6時，在日月潭向山遊客中心登場，天矇亮，挑戰組29公里4500人，及12環湖組2500人，頂著攝氏11度低溫，精神奕奕暖身後，分批鳴槍出發，五顏六色人龍在蜿蜒在環湖公路上移動，相當壯觀！
 
多數民眾攜家帶眷跑跑停停，放慢腳步欣賞曙光、湖光山色美景，來自新竹選手抱著嬰兒，挑戰12公里路程，他說，帶孩子參加他人生第一跑，希望他健康快樂，「有信心，一定跑完全程」，還有選手戴著可愛頭飾、鮮豔假髮上路，歡度健康活力假日。
