爭西門礁主權 菲向中國抗議

菲律賓外交部發言人荷塞(Charles Jose)今天(14日)表示，針對中國在南沙群島的西門礁(McKeenan Reef)展開工程活動，菲律賓已經提出抗議。這是3個月來，菲律賓第四次發出類似的抗議。

這項行動進一步升高了菲律賓和中國之間，有關南海領土爭議引發的緊張。

荷塞表示，菲律賓是在上星期提出這項抗議；不過，他並沒有說明，中國方面是否作出回應。

菲律賓在4月間，就大陸船隻在赤瓜礁(Johnson South Reef)填海造陸、大興土木，向中國提出抗議，認為中國有意將赤瓜礁變成1個有機場跑道的小島。

菲律賓將赤瓜礁稱為馬比尼礁(Mabini Reef)。

隨後菲律賓又對中國在華陽礁(Cuarteron Reef)和西南礁(Gaven Southern Reef)的建設活動，表達抗議。不過，中國對菲律賓這些抗議始終不理不睬。
