　　Warner Bros. Home Entertainment 宣佈，將在 2014 年冬天推出以人氣奇幻小說「魔戒」（指輪物語）為題材改編的 PS4／PS3／Xbox One 版第 3 人稱視點動作 RPG 冒險新作《魔多闇影》（シャドウ・オブ・モルドール），售價未定。官方並公佈日文字幕最新影片。

　　本作將以位於中土被群山環繞的國家「魔多」為舞台，描述家人及自己均遭到冥王索倫（サウロン）大軍殺害的遊俠 Talion，藉由幽靈之力潛入化為荒涼大地前的魔多，展開復仇計劃的過程。遊戲搭載了獨家開發，隨著玩家行動對敵人個性及心境產生影響的「Nemesis」系統，讓單人模式更具個人特色。
