台灣綠建築節省用電約11億度

依據內政部統計，截至2013年5月底止，國內已有3,943件建築物取得綠建築標章或候選綠建築證書，推估這些建築物每年可節省用電約11億度、節水約5,090萬噸，節省水電費約達32億元。

除新建築物外，內政部於2003年起，針對台灣總量約 97% 的既有建築物，選擇具改善潛力的中央辦公廳舍及國立大專院校辦理改善計畫，至2012年底，共完成改善案例 391 案，估計每年計可節省水電費約 2.2 億元，不但成效顯著並藉由技術宣導達到推廣綠色改造之目的。
